We already know that Firefox is the fastest and the most secure internet browser offered in the web. But did you know that you can still make your FIREFOX even faster? Consider this trick and enjoy a very fast internet browsing.

Don't have Mozilla Firefox? Download it using the FIREFOX banner found in my SIDEBAR.

Here's the trick:

1) Open FIREFOX then type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2) Alter the entries as follows: (by double clicking them)

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. (I changed mine to 100, works great.)

3) Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

This month has been a very fortunate one since a lot of softwares are coming out for final release or for beta testings. Mozilla Firefox 3, Opera 9.5, and Windows 7 are just some of the things that need to get excited about but to add some more spice, here's another new beta release that we should be looking at. Just recently, Microsoft released a beta testing for the upcoming Microsoft Windows Media Player 12.

Windows Media Player (WMP) is a digital media player and media library application developed by Microsoft that is used for playing audio, video and viewing images on personal computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system, as well as on Pocket PC and Windows Mobile-based devices.

I'm sure you're now excited to download this beta release and see for yourself what's new with the product. Here's some preview about the product . . .

I know, it looks like Windows Media Player 11 for Vista OS but I'm sure there a little distinction between the two. Anyway, it's still in a beta state so expect for some changes in the future. I hope they will also change its visual style.
